Job Description:
As a Drywall and Taping Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall panels, ensuring that all surfaces are seamless and ready for final decoration.
This role requires precision and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Able to work at heights up to 24 ft on scaffolding and other equipment.
Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and install drywall panels to fit spaces within buildings.
Tape and smooth joints and imperfections, creating a uniform, seamless surface.
Mix and apply compound and plaster using appropriate tools and techniques.
Ensure that all surfaces are prepared to accept paint and other finishes.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure project timelines are met.
Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with building codes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in drywall installation and taping.
Strong understanding of construction, building codes, and safety regulations.
Ability to read blueprints and other technical documents.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift drywall panels and other odd shapes and sizes safely.
Excellent attention to detail and precision.
Effective communication skills.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
